 The Innovative Do-It-Yourself Kit  for Steam Distillation Water Purification, produces up to 1 ounce per minute of Pure Distilled Water or 1 gallon in just over 2 hours.

The Life Saver Water Distiller has been developed as a simple build-it yourself non-electric steam water distiller to provide the capability of producing a significant amount of Pure Distilled Water each day -- with particular application in Emergency/Disaster Preparedness, Humanitarian Relief Operations, Travel in Remote Areas and Daily Village Living in developing nations.

With the Life Saver Water Distiller Kit you can produce your own Pure Distilled Water where there is no electrical power available. 

The Life Saver Water Distiller is designed for normal day-to-day living for use inside and outside the house, for camping and other outdoor uses – and in emergency/survival situations where potable water or bottled water is not available for cooking & drinking.

The Life Saver Distiller is over 99.9% effective in killing bacteria and other microbiological organisms and in removing all types of pollutants from any type of contaminated water – even raw sea water.

The Life Saver Distiller Kit weighs less than 1 Kilo [2.2 pounds] and can be stored in a minimum amount of space when not in use.

For the most rapid production of distilled water,  the Life Saver Water Distiller uses 10 feet of food grade stainless steel tubing in its condensing coil – which is more than is used in most electric water distillers. The Life Saver Distiller uses food grade stainless steel in the condensing coil to prevent the leaching of hazardous metals into the distilled water which will occur if the condensing coil is made of  copper or aluminum. It is incorrect to assume that since soft copper tubing works just fine for a condensing coil in making drinking alcohol, it can be used in a water distiller, when, in fact, copper is unsafe in making distilled water!  Alcohol does not leach cooper into the final product. However, this is not the case with the universal solvent, distilled water, which will leach copper and aluminum out of a coil made with such metals.  Thus, the need for food grade stainless steel in the condensing coil of a steam water distiller.

HEAT SOURCE The Life Saver Water Distiller is designed to be used with a pressure cooker, tea kettle or other suitable container as the boiling chamber in which to heat raw contaminated water to produce steam vapor that rises and flows into the condensing coil to cool and liquefy as Pure Distilled Water.

All that is needed is a source of heat such as any type of cook stove, heating stove, camp stove, fireplace, camp fire, charcoal grill, or any form of heat generating sufficient heat to boil water.

1.      Extra High Capacity Spiral Condensing Coil: 

Ten (10) feet of 3/8” Food-Grade 316 Stainless Steel -- coiled into 7 loops.

Overall Height of Coil:  12 inches [30 Centimeters].

 2.      Food Grade/High Temperature Flexible Vinyl Tubing [1 Piece]  2 Feet [62.2 Centimeters].

 3.      Adjustable Stainless Steel Clamps [2].

 4.      Activated Carbon [Charcoal] Post-Filter [1].

 5.      Grommet Seal [1].

 6.      Grommet Sealant Glue [1 Tube]

 7.      Nylon Tie Fastener [1]      

ITEMS TO BE SUPPLIED BY USER

Everything is furnished in the Life Saver Do-It-Yourself Distiller Kit – except for the following items that must be provided by the User:  

  • A Plastic Bucket in which to install the Stainless Steel Condensing Coil.    
  • A Boiling Chamber which can consist of a pressure cooker, tea kettle or other boiling container such as a small cooking pot or pan with a food grade funnel inverted over the top of the pan to divert the steam into the Condensing Coil.  If a funnel is used, it must be made of food grade metal or food grade high temperature plastic.
  • For customers who don't already have a pressure cooker, Conquest offers the 10.9 quart Life Saver Stainless Steel Multi-Purpose Steam Pot that is specifically manufactured for Conquest as a custom designed unit for use as a boiling chamber for the Life Saver Distiller Kit.     
  • In addition,  Conquest is also an Authorized Distributor for All American pressure cookers/canners [Cast Aluminum -- from 15 to 41.5 quart Liquid Capacity] and for the premiere Chef's Design Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker [4.8, 6.4, 9 & 10.9 quart capacity].

1.Pressure cooker [Tea Kettle, Pot or Pan] which functions as the boiling chamber.

2.Adjustable stainless steel clamp to secure vinyl tubing to the vent pipe of the pressure cooker.

      Note: The vent pipe is normally used for the pressure regulator weight.

3.Food grade high temperature flexible vinyl tubing is used to connect the boiling chamber to the condensing coil.

4.Adjustable stainless steel clamp to secure vinyl tubing to the inlet tube of the condensing coil.

5.Food grade extra high capacity stainless steel condensing coil.

6.Five gallon plastic bucket filled with raw water to act as a "Heat Sink", cooling the steam vapor in the condensing coil, producing Pure Distilled Water.

7.Rubber Grommet Seal.

8.Activated carbon [Charcoal] post-filter installed on discharge tube of condensing coil.

9.Sterile container for collection of distilled water.

WATER PRODUCTION RATE

For the most rapid production of distilled water the Life Saver Water Distiller uses 10 feet of food grade stainless steel tubing in its condensing coil. Using the 10.9 quart Life Saver  Stainless Steel Multi-Purpose Steam Pot as the Boiling Chamber, the Life Saver Distiller is capable of producing Pure Distilled Water at the rate of up to 1 ounce per minute. The actual production rate achieved in a particular situation depends on the type and size of the boiling chamber available to the user -- as well as the source and intensity of the heat used to boil the water. In virtually any configuration using different types of boiling chambers and heat sources, the Life Saver Distiller is capable of producing Pure Distilled Water at the rate of 1 ounce per minute -- 1 gallon in just over 2 hours.
